QEP’s commitment to our communities goes beyond being a good neighbor. We work with our stakeholders to create partnerships that have a positive and meaningful impact, making our communities a better place in which to live and work.
Upholding our commitment to our values – Responsible, Respectful and Resourceful – we have developed an organizational structure and process to help report and resolve community concerns. For example, we work with the Pinedale Anticline Working Group in Wyoming and the three affiliated tribes of the MHA Nation in North Dakota to address community concerns.
We support local communities not only through our operations in the form of capital investment, taxes and employment opportunities, but also through our corporate giving and volunteering program, QEP Cares.
In 2014, we launched our corporate giving and volunteering program, QEP Cares, to align our contributions and volunteer efforts to have a greater impact. We contribute our time, talent and financial resources to improve communities in which we live and work. We engage employees in giving and volunteering for the causes that matter most to them and to QEP. We strive to inspire others to make a difference.
Promoting Heart Health
QEP is a proud sponsor of the American Heart Association’s Heart & Stroke Walk. In Denver, QEP won the “Rookie of the Year” award, setting a record for the highest fundraising by a first-year team.
Investing in Our Youth
Since 2014, QEP has invested more than $1.8 million in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) education partnerships with school districts across our operating areas. QEP employees also volunteer their own time and talents to serve as volunteers, career coaches, guest speakers, project judges and job shadow hosts to expose students to our industry and STEM careers.
Our Employees Make a Difference
QEP employees are active in the communities where they live and work — whether it’s walking to support the American Heart Association, mentoring STEM students or taking part in a community clean-up event. Our employees’ generosity is supported through programs such as volunteer paid time off, company gift matching, team sponsorships and more.
Making a Difference
QEP invests in our communities by focusing our contributions on key issues where we can make the maximum impact. We partner with local school districts and national organizations, such as the American Red Cross, to leverage our efforts and make a lasting difference.
