QEP’s commitment to our communities goes beyond being a good neighbor. We work with our stakeholders to create partnerships that have a positive and meaningful impact – making our communities a better place in which to live and work.
QEP believes Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) education is vital to our business and to our country’s ability to compete in the global economy. Since 2014, we have invested $3.3 million in STEM partnerships with school districts across our areas of operation. In Utah, we have partnered with the Uintah County school district to implement Project Lead The Way programs, which empower students to thrive in an evolving world. PLTW also provides professional development for teachers, as well as mentorship opportunities for our employees and PLTW students. To date, we have contributed $815,000 to these efforts. Continuing our commitment to STEM education, QEP awards an annual $20,000 college scholarship to help an outstanding Utah high school student pursue a STEM degree.
We are also committed to improving the health and safety of our local communities. QEP has sponsored the Utah Heart and Stroke Walk to support heart disease and stroke prevention and partners with the Utah chapter of the American Red Cross to provide disaster relief/emergency preparedness services. In addition, our contributions to Primary Children’s Hospital are providing much needed services to children and families in Salt Lake City, as well as eastern Utah and other outlying areas.

An Exceptional Neighbor in Utah
QEP is committed to our youngest stakeholders, the students in the communities where we work and live, through our investments in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) education.
Primary Children’s Hospital
QEP is proud to support the Primary Children’s Hospital in Salt Lake City. Our financial contributions help fund critical programs for children while our employees volunteer their time and provide in-kind donations for these causes.
In 2014, we launched our corporate giving and volunteering program, QEP Cares, to align our contributions and volunteer efforts to have a greater impact. We contribute our time, talent and financial resources to improve communities in which we live and work. We engage employees in giving and volunteering for the causes that matter most to them and to QEP. We strive to inspire others to make a difference.
